I spent a good chunk of time last night googling “lighthouse keeper jobs.” Apparently, as I had feared, there are not too many of these jobs. Most of the jobs are temporary, and the few that are year-round seem to be given to people as homes. Not that I am looking for a lucrative careeer, I just want to live in a lighthouse and watch the ocean. Like this gorgeous lighthouse. Wisconsin hasn’t had much to offer me in the past, except copious amounts of cheese, but now there is Wind Point Lighthouse overlooking Lake Michigan. I’m in love. Unfortunately, it is currently occupied by a couple who met at a lighthouse, got married at a lighthouse, and now live in a lighthouse. Perhaps they now need their first adopted 22 year old child in a lighthouse?? Hey Michael and Susan Arts, call me!
